The consequences of whatever particular affinity among various Hispanic demographics there might be for Trump as a singular persona, and broader alienation from the "Latinx" sensibilities of the Democratic Party, are likelier to show up in depressed turnout rather than some epic shift in historic partisan patterns.
Well written and revelatory. The numbers cited all point to THIS: The captured and corrupted Western neoliberal media - world-wide... and captured/corrupt educational systems - worldwide - have poisoned the well for 35 years re: indoctrination. "Respect for others" - is such a ridiculous term - but it is effective brainwashing. The entire victimization mindset is at play within every culture - and "White Men" which the U.S. Colonial empire ( and the British) represent - are the target. This is
the Marxist/Zionist playbook and it is brutally effective - as we are seeing play out in real time in Color Revolutions around the world (England, Ireland, France). Funnily enough, as a control group - we don't see ANY OF THIS in Hungary or Russia.
"Gun violence" isn't actually a big problem. But FALSE FLAGS GUN EVENTS - orchestrated by the cabal - makes it seem like it is. The Liberal media saturates the population and bombards it with headlines, so the masses get mind-infected. Everything is perception. Reality is inverted, and elections are being stolen by Leftists around the globe as if taking candy from a baby. The polls that you mention are to set the stage for the election theft - as if they are a reflection of the people's needs/wants. They are NOT a reflection - the polls are the COVER STORY.
This culminates in a Civil War in the U.S. this year, before the election - and chaos is going to reign for more than a decade. On the other side of that chaos is likely a full-on Marxist/Zionist tyranny unlike anything we've seen in world history ( yes, including China/Russia)
What it boils down to is that Hispanics are just a bunch of people from foreign countries with foreign ideas about government and society. Unbridled immigration will always result in the country being invaded less like it was before the immigrants showed up. Immigration must be stopped and as many of those here illegally must be deported as possible.
No one is claiming that a majority of Hispanics will vote Democratic. I agree that the Hispanic "realignment" narrative is overstated. The media likes to hype trends and the GOP is desperate for people of color votes.
But there has bee a marginal shift of the Hispanic vote to the GOP reflected in the last 3 elections. At the national level it may help the GOP win the swing states of Nevada and Arizona. And it can prevent Texas from becoming a swing state. At the local level marginal shifts in the Hispanic vote can help GOP win seats in swing seats in SoCal, Southern Florida, and the midwest.
While Hispanics have relatively leftwing positions on 2A and immigration, they don't seem to prioritize those issues and vote on them. Meaning the GOP can appeal to Hispanics with the same set of populist policies they used to win over the white working class.
The latest NYT poll shows Trump leading with Hispanics by 6 points...if that's not claiming Hispanics will vote Republican than what is? Agree on those other two points.
The questions are, can the GOP appeal to Hispanics without compromising on ideology, or support among other groups? And, can the increasing Hispanic support offset some of the voters Trump lost in 2020 (white and suburban voters)?
And yes, I agree Republicans should try to message to Hispanics at a regional level. Hispanics can definitely help the GOP pick up certain congressional seats.
Texas is a bit tricky. Trump is doing better with the Tejano vote, but I think over the next few decades it's more likely that Hispanics help turn Texas blue than stop it from becoming blue...especially with the latest influx of migrants.
The big lesson from 2012 onwards is that the GOP doesn’t need to soften its immigration stance or be politically correct to win a higher share of Hispanic voters. As in the opposite of the conclusions the GOP insiders wanted to draw after 2012.
What it does have to do is move to the left* economically and message more populist, which Donald did. The fact that the left went crazy makes it easy to pick up normie Hispanics without doing much.
The big issue is finding a way to appeal to working hispanics without turning off white women with college degrees. This appears to be a matter of aesthetics that is hard to manage.
*one doesn’t have to go crazy here, just stop pretending they are going to cut programs we all k ow they aren’t going to cut
I was doing business in California for a few years. Left wing Latino stronghold. I NEVER met a Latino who didn’t like Trump. I never met a Californian who was pro open borders. White or Latino. Latinos are not big on abortion. And trans is not something they want in the schools. The Dems do not stand for anything the Latinos, mostly Mexican originally, want in society. They were sold on the idea Rs were big crony capitalists, which hurts Mexicans in Mexico. It takes ten years but they do realize the big crony businessmen are Democrats. Mexicans are natural Republicans
Where in California? Because that makes a difference. 60% of Hispanics in the last election voted against Trump. A few polls out of Arizona earlier this year showed abortion was the top issue for Hispanics. I think the point is, it’s a lot more regional than national political strategists realize.
60% voted against. Which means he got 40%. No rational person can want what the Ds want right now. Before Ds were neutral, not insane. They now are officially out of their minds. He will get more than 40% this time.
My parents came from Cuba in 1968, they were part of the second wave and were working class. Those Cubans and their children are predominantly Republican as well. We’ve recently had the last of our family members come over and they do not agree with what the Democrats are doing to our country. All of them say the things they’re seeing are reminiscent of tactics the marxists and Castro executed during their takeover and after the revolution.
Mexican and Cubano voters are natural Rs. The school transgender issues is going to kill Ds with Latinos from every country. As is wide open immigration. I don’t know any middle class Latinos that favour that.
Please refer to the polls in my piece. Mexicans have voted for Dems at a rate of 60-65% for decades. Cubans account for an extreme minority of Hispanics in this country. Their support for Republicans is meaningless outside FL.
Thats a non sequitor. The Dems didn’t use to be insane. Twenty years ago if one didn’t read the news one couldn’t tell if there was an R or a D running things. It was all gassy talk that was the difference. The Dems are now insane. No borders? Birthing persons? No gas cars after 2030? Every building Net Zero in ten years? Drag Queen Story Hour? High ranking admin members, men, wearing ball gowns to work or dressed like little girls going to a birthday party in princess outfits? Castrating young boys and cutting the breasts off young teen girls? Defunding police? You think the average black or Latino believes any of this? This is affluent white female Liberal phenomena. The old difference was backstabbing Ds pretended to be on the side of workers, and weren’t. And backstabbing Ra pretended to be on the side of Main Street business, and weren’t. Both were on the side of the MIC and Wall Street only. Dems now are delusional. They are insane. Just as venal, as are the Rs. But the Rs aren’t castrating children.
I wish I could agree with you here. I live in San Antonio. The many upper middle class Hispanics that I know—doctors, lawyers, professors, business owners—are still firmly in the Dem camp. They might not want their own child to transition, but publicly they’re for inclusivity. It doesn’t make sense that they’d stay with the democrats, but I have seen no movement among this demographic.
I concur. What I see in a lot of Central and South Florida Hispanics is educated ignorance. Lots of credentials and certifications, lots of faux intellectual posturing - without any realization as to what is real/true and actually going on with this Marxist march that is destroying our Constitutional Republic from within and without (with our passivity and ignorance being the door opener for it all).
Yes. San Antonio is full of what should be conservative hispanics, if you believe what R's have been telling themselves. The reality is very not-so-much.
The consequences of whatever particular affinity among various Hispanic demographics there might be for Trump as a singular persona, and broader alienation from the "Latinx" sensibilities of the Democratic Party, are likelier to show up in depressed turnout rather than some epic shift in historic partisan patterns.
I agree with this.
Well written and highly accurate
Thanks!

Lots of wishful thinking going on. First and foremost? Yours.
